Karen and  Laura are entrepreneurs at heart and it was evident to them both, with 25+ combined years in the wedding industry, that Vancouver Island is a world class destination that should be reveled in.

 

Highlighting those incredible events, the vendors who make them happen, and the island culture is REVEL. The magazine, more than just pages, is a tool for couples, a reference for party planners and a directory to help one find professionals to bring their party dreams to fruition. With a broad focus of Vancouver Island from Port Hardy to Salt Spring, Naniamo to Comox, Victoria, Tofino and even Hornby. In these pages you will find the hidden gems, the people, and the places to make your events memorable.

A little about your editors… Karen, our fabulous floral expert and outdoor enthusiast, has a background in philanthropy, having previously worked for many non profits like Habitat for Humanity, as well as owning Bezaire Floral.

 

Laura’s our resident pastry chef, with 20 years creating culinary art and award winning wedding cakes, spends her down time in the rink skating on a local synchronized skating team.

 

When two creative women from the events industry become best friends you better believe they know how to throw a party!

Wanting to make changes to how the industry is presented on Vancouver Island and show the diversity in our communities, culture and celebrations has led them to create, The Revel Collective. A unique magazine that invites the community of Vancouver Island to participate in.
